Where to go in Vietnam

It is not like I have been everywhere in Vietnam yet, but there are some highlight places that I do personally recommend.

I’m from middle part of Viet, and there are so much more places down from North to South and East to West in there. I have been only in some well-known places only (I know, what a shame. Even though I’d spent 18 years there and did not really have much photos either :< )

So start from the North, Hanoi is capital of Viet and its located on Northern area which is a bit crowded and its traffic is hectic, but have so much cool things there. Hanoi itself already has so much historic stories that could take you months to fully explore and understand the traditions of it. Some of favorable things that tourists like to do in Hanoi are walking around 36 ancient streets (every street has its own architecture and diversity of products); going to Ta Hien – where you can find a lot of clubs, live music from different coffee shops while drinking beer, smoking shisha and enjoying street-food; chit-chat and try different food around West lake; shopping in Hanoi is like heaven (for me as well!) cheap-not-too-cheap (as the prices keep increasing every day lol) you can find literally everything there!

Outside Hanoi, you can go to Sapa (in winter time) and see all of snow falling down beyond the white clouds and blue sky (as it is on a very high mountain) and get to know one of minor ethnic groups of Vietnamese people there! From Sapa, you can hike to Fansipan Mountain as well.

Ha Long Bay is a place that y’all need to come if you in Viet! It is the place where KingKong 2 took place and it is breathtaking with all of the amazing view (it is another version of Phukhet in Thailand)

Tam Dao

Tam Dao, Mai Chau, Moc Chau, Ninh Binh, Ba Vi National park are also worth visiting but I have not been to all of those yet.

Okay, Middle Part is the biggest part of Viet as well. There is a lot of things to explore in there. I have never had a chance to visit all of them as they are too many lol. From Hanoi, you will go pass Thanh Hoa – a famous city whose owns The God Fish Stream – the fish no one has ever seen before and does not know what its name either- but they call it God fish as there’s been so many mystical stories about them – they believe this fish could bring misfortune to those who touch them and blah blah (I don’t know man, I heard a lot of stories about those fish but never got to see them in person). This city also famous with a street-food called Nem Chua (it’s delicious! its raw meat rolled in banana leaf and can eat after a certain of days)

Nghe An (where I was born) and Ha Tinh are two separately provinces (which were actually one before). Not much to do there except a lot of beaches and mountains with really natural look.

You can also find a lot of cute classic cafe shops like this around our areas/ with some kitty or puppies cafe as well.

Go further down, there are some incredible places Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue and some that I cant even remember the names.

I dont even know what to describe about them as there are too many things to do and many places to go.

DA NANG:

(There is a famous Island called Ly Son somewhere near Da Nang, but I didnt have a chance to visit there)

HOI AN:

If you go to Hoi An, you have to spend the night there. You will feel like you’re in Tangled movie ❤

HUE:

I was in Hue during rainy and stormy days but believe me Hue is worth visiting on that kind of weather as it is always meant to be a sad romantic place with all of ancient buildings old stories with traditional music in a very unique Hue accent!

Go down to the South, there are much more places to visit as well. I dont know them off the top of my head as Im pretty bad at remembering places and have no sense of direction. But Da Lat (this is where all of couples come for mysterious and dreamy atmosphere – there weather is ideal for me there – it is perfectly cool all the year around).

Nha Trang, Phu Quoc insland are also popular spots for beaches and resorts as well. I went to Nha Trang to visit Vinpearl on the time when it was under renovation so… (bad timing :<)

Saigon (aka Ho Chi Minh city) is another prominent city besides Ha Noi as well. It is well-known because of the variety of its own products from food, drinks, clothes, shoes to accommodation and leisure sport activities.

Outside Saigon is likely about sightseeing and historic stories

Anyway, Im running out of words for what to do in Viet so just going to stop here lol. I meant it is under construction*** will try to update more 🙂
